There are few things in life I love more than a warm bath. I love hearing the water run and watching the bubbles take over the warm water. Relaxing in the tub after a long day and letting all the worry and stress leave me is a great way to end my day. I tune out the world and everything in it, which is why I recently missed a phone call from my 90-year-old grandmother.

When I called my grandma back I told her I was fresh and relaxed from my bath. She paused a little bit and said wistfully, “I miss a good long soak.” That got me thinking. What happens when you can no longer bring your leg over the tub? What happens when all you want is to take a bath and you can't take one on your own?

Bath lifts are the perfect solution. Bath lifts work by gently and safely raising and lowering the individual in and out of the bathtub. They are good for home use and in an assisted living home. Imagine restoring dignity and independence, all with a bath lift.

Taking a bath does more than reduce stress. It can reduce the pain and swelling associated with arthritis. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, as well as other circulatory and skin conditions, can be helped simply by taking a bath. It works by increasing the rate of nourishing blood cells to damaged tissues. A warm bath reaches all your muscles and can increase elasticity. Bathing can help fight infection and colds by stimulating the vascular and lymph systems and encouraging the bacteria destroying properties of the immune system.  Bathing gets you so much cleaner than a sponge bath. Bathing is one of those perfect things that not only feel good but is good for you!

That is why we at Drive Medical are proud to become the exclusive distributor of Aquajoy Bathlifts in North America and add these bathlifts to our line, along with the Bellavita Bathlift. We are now able to offer a broader selection of high quality, versatile and reliable bathlifts to our customers. This compliments our other bath safety products including our collection of tub assist rails, grab bars, and portable bath steps.

After all, bathing shouldn't turn into a wistful memory; it should be something you can do anytime you want!
