It was a family affair at the
Hydroworx booth at Monday's exhibit hall at the
LeadingAge show.
Hydroworx X80/H71 product specialist Michele Reber enlisted her parents, Ruth and Ron Rauchnor, to be the “test models” in the Hydroworx pool to show how the companies' underwater treadmills work. The Rachnors came down to Washington, D.C. from Allentown, PA and were in the pool for four hours, but had no complaints.
“The jets are what I really like,” Ruth Rachnor said while walking along the X80, which is designed to help with gait and balance. “It's wonderful. I don't feel tired at all.”
Other sights and sounds on Monday included:
- A green screen at the Sodexho booth allows providers to have their visage inserted into a photo with President Obama, a field in the Netherlands, a night in D.C., and a vacation in Paris. Participants then received the photos via text to their mobile phone. Later in the evening, Quintain Marketing President John A. Booth III said Birthday Bash celebrants could get their picture taken with the Village People or The Beatles.
- The Tena booth, a sign proclaimed “Survive the Cuts.” Clinical manager Marie McCormick RN, BSN said the conversations with those who came by largely focused around federal reimbursement cuts. “We've been talking bout the way our products can help, and how the right product can mean less staffing, more efficient use of resources and good outcomes,” she says.
LeadingAge exposition hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
